Vitra’s Adult Day Health (ADH) center in Brockton, MA is a daily care facility designed to meet the physical, functional, and social needs of seniors or individuals with disabilities, including those with complex medical or rehabilitative needs.

**Monday Thru Friday 8:00am- 3:00pm (30-35 hours per week) **

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Adult Day Health care members in personal care activities such as hygiene, grooming, dressing and personal care as needed.
  • Assist members in the practice of safety and good nutrition when is possible.
  • Adhere to the documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
  • Observe the patients for changes in general physical and mental conditions.
  • Report any changes noted to the Adult Day LPN.
  • Assist and supervise activities of daily living.
  • Assist with all the activities programs including arts, crafts and other small group activities under the direction of the Activity Director and/or Program Director.
  • Assist with trips and other community outings outside the program.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service training and other relevant training.
  • Prepare, serve and clean up before and after meals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual in English and Cape Verdean Creole/ Portuguese
  • Previous experience nursing home or in-home settings.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and documents.
  • Has empathy for the needs of the clients.
  • Possess and maintains good physical stamina, tact, patience and good personal hygiene.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • CPR certification or willing to obtain.
  • One or more years of experience working with adults in a healthcare or social service setting.
